Hi, There are many times we do not know the little things and must have the Passion and Desire to know them. Today I'm going to tell you a a little bit about  Mechanical Information.
Hope you like it and find it useful

The following TYPES OF FIRE  EXTINGUISHERS

1) Soda acid type fire extinguisher
2) Carbon tetrachloride type fire extinguisher
3) Foam type fire extinguisher
4) Dry powder type fire extinguisher

1) Soda acid type fire extinguisher: -
This fire extinguisher contains sulfuric acid and sodium below in a vertical bottle
It is filled with a solution of bicarbonate. When the lever is pressed on the fire extinguisher or when the lever is pressed, the sulfuric acid bottle explodes and the acid and sodium bicarbonate combine to form carbon dioxide gas CO2 and the inside.
The pressure on the liquid causes a strong spray of air to escape from the nozzle at the top of the fire extinguisher. It is used to extinguish common fires. Its spray reaches a height of at least 30 feet and a cylinder lasts for two to three minutes.

2) Carbon Tetrachloride or Carbon Dioxide type fire extinguisher: -
These types of fire extinguishers are used to extinguish fires caused by short circuits in petroleum products or electrical appliances or electrical equipment. The inner container of this fire extinguisher is filled with carbon tetrachloride or carbon dioxide gas. The fire extinguisher is small in size and resembles a bicycle hand pump. The pump rod is on the pot and its lower end reaches the bottom of the pot. There is a nozzle on the outside of the pot and a rubber hose is attached to it. As soon as the locking pin of the control valve is removed and the pump is pressed by hand, carbon tetrachloride starts to come out. When using this type of fire extinguisher, run the pump with one hand and hold the rubber hose with the other hand and concentrate the spray in the right place. Once the container is empty, take it out and fill it with C.T.C. Smelling this gas can make a person unconscious. It also affects the skin. So be careful when using this type of fire extinguisher.

3) Foam type fire extinguisher: -
Oil, fuel or oil-like substances, oil paint would have caught fire
Water, carbon monoxide gas cannot be used on it. Foam for this
Types use fire extinguishers. This includes tap water, soda, and foam Is filled with a mixture of the forming fluid and in its inner tube or
The bottle contains a mixture of water and aluminum sulfate. Lever or rod
When pressed, the liquid in both the tubes mixes and comes out in the form of foam.
Spraying it on an oily substance causes foam around the fire
The fire in the air is immediate as the membrane is formed and the oxygen supply is cut off

4) Dry powder type fire extinguisher: -
Gas, petroleum products, electrical appliances, textiles, etc. Rapid combustion
Dry powder type fire extinguishers are used to control the fire as soon as possible. External fire extinguishers are filled with a mixture of sodium-based powder and potassium. It is sealed by filling the inner tube or cartridge with pressurized carbon dioxide gas. This type of fire extinguisher weighs from 1 kg to 10 kg. Pressing the knob on the cap bursts the CO2 gas cartridge. Pressing the nozzle on the pipe fitted to the outside of the fire extinguisher The powder is spread like a powder of dust up to 5 to 8 feet by pressure.
The fire extinguisher cylinder is made of sheet and is made of cone or
It is shaped like a cylinder. It is usually 2 feet high. On each pot
Its type and method of use, as well as what chemicals to fill
Is written. After filling the chemical container, it should be discarded every two years and refilled with chemicals. The vendor should make sure that the pressure is good. If the carbon gas pipes become empty, they should be sent to the seller for refilling. When the pot is empty, wash and dry it well and then add new chemicals. It contains detailed information on filling the chemical. All fire extinguishers are red in color. However, to identify its type, the fire extinguisher has a special colored stripe on the top or side.

2) Brown strip - Foam type fire extinguisher.
3) Yellow stripe - Carbon Tetrachloride type fire extinguisher.
4) Black strip - dry sand

Care:-

1) After installing the fire extinguisher on its stand in the workshop
Chains and locks should not be kept.
2) Teach everyone how to handle fire extinguishers.
3) Put a rubber cap on the mouth of the fire extinguisher pipe. If not A potter or other insect will make its home in it and close the mouth of the pipe. Therefore, fire extinguishers cannot be used on time. As well as soda acid In the case of a typical fire extinguisher, if such a defect occurs, it is from the mouth If there is no gas, the cylinder will burst and there will be a big accident.
4) In case of fire in the workshop, first care should be taken not to spread the fire:
For-

A) Oxygen, heat and other elements required for fire One of these flammable substances should be disconnected from the fire.
B) In case of fire on electrical appliances or electrical appliances, the first electric Supply should be stopped.
C) Always use fuse wire on the fuse top in the fuse box. Let us use pieces of copper wire or direct wire lid Not.
D) There will be no backfire or exhaust gases while starting the engine Take care that the direct exhaust manifold does not come out Should take.

I hope you find the above information helpful. This is how the Mechanical Information will get you on my blog. I'm sure you'll like it.  Feel free to leave your feedback.
